Jane Austen Sculpture Unveiling

Martin Jennings' sculpture of Jane Austen will be unveiled in the Inner Close of Winchester Cathedral. Austen is represented standing by the small writing desk at which she wrote her great novels. At 1.8m high the bronze figure is just over life-size and faces towards the cathedral that she so admired and where she is buried.
